BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS

During our last renovation, our building was constructed with LED lighting, Improved building insulation, New Thermal Workshop Doors, Thermal and Glass, Low Flow restroom facilities, and automatic lighting and environmental controls.

AUTOMOTIVE BATTERIES

We recycle 6 tons of automotive batteries each year. Recycled batteries are broken down by components to then become reformed and reused. The battery in the electric car batteries of today will be used for home power storage in the future.

auto-metala.png

AUTOMOTIVE METALS

We recycle 3.6 tons of metal each year, which is the same weight as 3 new cars! It takes more power to produce new aluminum than to recycle old aluminum. Our recycling effort save over 42,000 kWh of energy, which is enough energy to power 4 houses for ONE whole year.

BULK FLUID PROGRAMS

At Pohanka we recycle all waste products and oil from your oil changes. We use vegetable oil for service lifts and we use “green” cleaning products for all our janitorial services.

EVERYDAY BUSINESS PAPER PRODUCTS

We recycle 78 tons of paper products per year. Recycling these products will save 319,800 kWh of energy, enough to power over 7 homes for one year, saves 1,326 trees and 257 cubic yards of landfill space.

STATE OF THE ART CAR WASH

Our car wash installed in July of 2018 will use considerably less water and cleaning fluids than the unit it replaced and significantly more than a standard hand car wash

tire-recycling.png

TIRE RECYCLING

We will replace close to 4,000 tires this year, we recycle the tires removed. Just what can be done to a used tire? It can be turned into fuel, tires produce energy similar to oil and coal, or broken down and used in other applications.
